Associate General Counsel

The Role

Slice is looking for an experienced attorney to join its growing team. The Associate General Counsel will take the lead in addressing a range of commercial, corporate and regulatory matters impacting a fast growing private company. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS contracts, licensing agreements, marketing agreements, and complicated vendor agreements
  • Help protect and manage the company's intellectual property rights
  • Assist with managing legal disputes or claims, including liaising with external counsel when necessary
  • Assist with corporate governance matters
  • Play a key role in advising on and implementing controls, policies and processes
  • Identify legal risks and provide proactive advice and solutions
  • Handle other matters as assigned by the General Counsel

You will be a member of Slice’s growing Legal Department and report to Slice’s General Counsel

  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience 
  • J.D. from highly reputable law school and admitted to at least one state bar 
  • Top-tier law firm experience is preferred 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Highly intelligent problem-solver, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment and at all levels of the organization

Salary Range:  $180k - $210k + benefits (including bonus and stock option opportunity)

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

The Hiring Process

Here’s what we expect the hiring process for this role to be, should all go well with your candidacy. This entire process is expected to take 2-4 weeks to complete and you’d be expected to start on a specific date.

  • 30-minute final meeting with our General Counsel
