Global Head of People Partners

Ilir Sela started Slice with the belief that local pizzerias deserve all of the advantages of major franchises without compromising their independence. Starting with his family’s pizzerias, we now empower over tens of thousands of restaurants with the technology, services, and collective power that owners need to better serve their digitally minded customers and build lasting businesses. We’re growing and adding more talent to help fulfill this valuable mission. That’s where you come in.

The  Opportunity

Lead the charge in uniting global teams by developing strategic people solutions aligned with  business objectives across multiple geographies, while strengthening Slice as  a place where culture and community can thrive.

The Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to join us as the Global Head of People Partners, a pivotal role at the heart of our growth and culture. Leading a globally distributed team of HR Business Partners, this person will be both a strategist and a doer:  a trusted advisor and change agent who brings data-driven insights to the most important part of our business - our people. You’ll be a key architect of high impact people strategies and programs that fuel performance and engagement. While you think big and lead boldly, you’ll also love rolling up your sleeves and getting into the details. This leader will contribute beyond their remit, providing broad perspective, leadership and input on all people-related matters from strategy to tactics. If you’re passionate about building world-class teams, we’d love to meet you!

You’ll also:

  • Be an extension of the business, working closely with leaders to understand business needs, translating that into a people plan, and providing HR guidance that informs key decisions.
  • Drive parts of the People agenda, developing and executing people strategies to complement or enhance existing programs focused on onboarding, performance management, employee relations, learning, total rewards, and culture.
  • Develop and empower senior and middle managers with the tools and capabilities to directly manage People needs and challenges within their teams and organizations.
  • Collaborate with other People leaders and members of the People team to deliver best-in-class, end-to-end experiences for our business partners and Slice employees.
  • Regularly share best practices across the global People team to ensure alignment across our approaches.

The Team

The People Partner team at Slice is high performing, passionate about our mission and empowered to make decisions and take ownership. You will work across the People organization to create exceptional people experiences for all Slicers. Your leadership and expertise will ensure we serve as strong partners to the business.  This role reports to our Chief People Officer.

The Winning Recipe

  • 15+ years experience in the People function, ideally in both high-growth, fast-paced tech companies and large, established organizations
  • Proven ability to evaluate, develop and implement People programs and initiatives aligned to business context and strategy.  Ability to articulate the impact of People efforts to senior leaders and the wider business
  • Experience leading a global team and supporting businesses in multiple geographies
  • Deep analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions
  • Strong ability to balance commercial and people imperatives
  • Seasoned leader for organizational change initiatives
  • Strong coaching, influencing, and problem-solving skills

The Extras

Working at Slice comes with a comprehensive set of benefits, including:

  • Flexible PTO
  • Medical, vision and dental insurance
  • 401K matching up to 4%
  • Personal wellness reimbursement/stipend
  • Weekly pizza stipend (Yes, that’s a thing!)

Salary Range:  $240,000 to $300,000 + benefits (including bonus and stock option opportunity)

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors

The Hiring Process

Here’s what you can expect during the hiring process. This entire process is expected to take around 6 weeks to complete and you’d be expected to start on a specific date.

  • Application
  • 30 minute introductory meeting with Director, TA
  • 1 hour interview with Chief People Officer
  • 3 x 30 min interviews with business leaders
  • 2 x 30 min interviews with members of the Executive Team
  • Final discussion with Chief People Officer
  • Offer!
