This position is ideal for someone passionate about fostering student success and creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.Key Responsibilities:• Design Individualized Instruction: Craft and deliver customized educational programs that address the diverse needs of students with special education requirements, utilizing creative teaching strategies and adaptive resources.• Inspire and Motivate: Create a dynamic and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth, helping each student achieve their academic and personal goals.• Evaluate and Adapt: Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress and adjust teaching methods and materials as needed to ensure effective learning and development.• Collaborate with Team: Partner with general education teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to implement strategies that support a cohesive and inclusive educational experience.• Support IEP Development: Assist in the creation and execution of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), providing expert guidance on necessary accommodations and modifications to enhance student learning.• Engage with Families: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians, offering updates on student progress, addressing concerns, and involving them in the educational process.• Promote Inclusion: Advocate for and implement inclusive practices that accommodate various learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students feel valued and supported.Qualifications:• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.• Certification: Valid Special Education certification or endorsement for the state of Illinois is required.• Experience: Prior experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting is highly preferred.• Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
