BI (Business Intelligence) Developer

We’re looking for a BI (Business Intelligence) Developer to join the team at Southern Shirt Company. In this role, you’ll help keep our data clean, our systems talking, and our insights sharp. If you love solving problems with SQL, making sense of messy data, and occasionally flexing your JavaScript skills, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

Data Management:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends and insights.
  • Develop and maintain databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform regular data integrity and quality audits.

Software Implementation:

  • Support new software implementations and integrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.

Development & Automation:

  • Build and maintain scripts (mostly JavaScript) to automate and optimize workflows.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to support analytics and reporting needs.

Reporting & Visualization:

  • Create reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing custom reports and dashboards as required by users.

Compliance & Security:

  • Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement data quality control processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Some of the technologies you’ll be working with are NetSuite (ERP), Celigo (IPaaS), Shopify, BigQuery/Looker, Metabase, SQL and JavaScript

Must-Haves:

  • Solid experience with SQL and JavaScript.
  • Advanced skills with Google Sheets and Excel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  • 3+ years experience as a data specialist or in a related role.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of data storage and retrieval systems.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and verify data from multiple formats.
  • Experience with end-user training and support.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware systems and peripherals.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with NetSuite ERP (SuiteScript, Analytics, Workflows, etc)
  • Experience with Shopify (Liquid theming, apps, etc)
  • Experience with data warehousing and ETL techniques
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and their applications
