Game Designer

Sovrun is seeking an imaginative and detail-oriented Game Designer to join our talented team. As a Game Designer, you will play a key role in conceptualizing and developing engaging gameplay experiences. You will work collaboratively with artists, developers, and producers to bring innovative ideas to fruition while ensuring a high standard of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Design and document engaging gameplay mechanics and systems.
  • Create detailed design specifications, including gameplay scenarios, character designs, and level layouts.
  • Conduct playtesting sessions to gather feedback and refine gameplay.
  • Collaborate with artists and developers to ensure cohesive implementation of design ideas.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, player preferences, and emerging gaming technologies.
  • Iterate and improve existing designs based on user feedback and analytics.
  • Work with production to prioritize and schedule design tasks effectively.
  • Have experience in using ai tools to augment workflows regarding research and concept generation like chatgpt, midjourney etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in game design or related roles, preferably within the gaming industry.
  • Strong understanding of game mechanics, player engagement, and iterative design processes.
  • Experience with game design software and project management tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, JIRA).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
