Senior Product Designer, Growth

Product designers at Squarespace are embedded within product teams that are deeply collaborative, and each member is directly responsible for the team's success.

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our 'Frontsite' team in the Growth organization. In this role you'll help guide the design direction and user experience of squarespace.com. You will create experiences that aid the user's comprehension of the entire Squarespace ecosystem, and empower them to make confident decisions. You will work closely with other designers, product managers, engineers, user research, content strategy, and product marketing.

This is a hybrid role that reports into our Frontsite Design Manager in our New York City headquarters.

You'll Get To...

  • Communicate information about our offerings in a captivating, dynamic way
  • Maintain and evolve the Squarespace brand with existing and new .com surfaces
  • Design touchpoints that support our recurring marketing moments
  • Contribute product design thinking related to key conversion-driving flows
  • Pitch ideas using advanced prototyping and animation skills for maximum impact
  • Leverage and evolve our Design System to power efficiency and scalability across surfaces
  • Keep information and assets on squarespace.com up to date as we continue to evolve our functionality and brand elements in new and existing markets
  • Collaborate with teams including Marketing, Brand and Creative
  • Work with engineering partners on scoping, handoff and visual QA

Who We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience
  • Proficiency with UI, UX and visual design
  • Advanced prototyping and animation skills
  • An eye for layout, composition, typography, photography, and art direction
  • Experience with all design phases: design discovery, visioning, concepting, detailed design and engineering handoff, visual QA
  • Experience with design system creation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of current trends in design and technology

A portfolio of relevant design work is required for consideration.

Cash Compensation Range: $128,500 - $207,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), Squarespace employees are eligible to receive an incentive award as part of their total compensation.
