Job Description

  • 4AM Start time
  • Part Time / 25 hours per week
  • Safe Forklift Operation: Operate sit down safely and efficiently to move, stack, and load/unload materials, ensuring the safety of yourself and others at all times.
  • Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of materials and products handled, making note of quantities, locations, and any damages or discrepancies.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets with precision, ensuring that goods are properly secured to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Dock Management: Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the dock area, including removing debris and obstructions, and ensuring clear pathways for equipment and personnel.
  • Quality Control: Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for any visible damage, report discrepancies, and work with the team to resolve issues.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations and participate in safety training.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts, report any defects or issues, and help with recharging batteries or changing propane tanks.

Qualifications

At least one year experience operating a forklift.

  • Forklift certification per OSHA standards.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
