We are looking for a vibrant and talented Instructional Design Specialist to revolutionize our training and support systems. In this role, you'll empower users with expert training on Canvas and other cutting-edge technologies, lead engaging workshops and seminars, and create dynamic online resources. You'll collaborate with faculty to design captivating instructional web pages and develop immersive web-based courses. What you need to know

Salary: $50,000 - $53,000 (Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience)

Cover Letter/Resume: A cover letter and resume are strongly recommended and will help in our review

Location: This position is located in Fort Worth, TX

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Two years of related experience with related experience in Instructional Design and Learning Management System

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four years of related experience with Instructional Design and Learning Management System

  • Experience working in higher education setting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of instructional technology support in higher education

  • Knowledge of a variety of learning management systems

Responsibilities

Training:

  • Trains users on Canvas and other technology and equipment

  • Conducts or assists with training workshops and seminars on use of course management technology

  • Develops and updates tutorials and online resources

Faculty Support:

  • Designs and creates instructional web pages for faculty and others

  • Assists and supports faculty and others in the development of web-based courses utilizing instructional technologies

Instructional Design:

  • Advises on course management and assist instructional designer on course development, integration of media into curricula, and accessibility requirements

  • Assists in the design and implementation of technology assessments
