Apparel is a key category for the business – and we’re looking for a talented Apparel Designer with exceptional product development skills and a strong collaborative approach to join our passionate in-house design team supporting our Activewear category!

Job Description

Our in-house Design team is the creative conduit in the business – working alongside our buying and sourcing departments, this is a dynamic & varied role with lots of opportunity to set trends, add value, creativity – what could be better than designing commercial ranges our customers will fall in love with! Your wheelhouse of product development, technical textile and design skills and experience will help deliver exciting, must-have trend focused ranges!

In addition, we’re also on an exciting journey of integrating Browzwear and 3D design technology to futureproof our design processes and workflows, and support our sustainability and efficiency goals! 

A snapshot of the role will see you: 

  • Trend forecasting key items, colours, fabrics, details and products for seasonal launches for the apparel categories including women and menswear.
  • Apparel range and graphics design
  • Work collaboratively with buying and sourcing teams to curate and build cohesive ranges
  • Research and apply market & trend information through design analytics. 

Qualifications

You’ll have a true customer mindset and ability to design fitting commercial needs is a must! A passionate team player with a collaborative approach will enjoy working in the dynamic, fast-paced retail environment. You’ll be nimble to change with a strong ability to adapt quickly to priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.

  • Proven intermediate to senior level designer experience including taking product from concept through execution and partnering with overseas manufacturers 
  • Experience working across Activewear highly desired
  • Experience/strong knowledge of 3D technical programme – Browzwear (or equivalent 3D design technology) will be a big bonus!
  • Demonstrated creative ability including graphics, textile design, visual merchandising 
  • Commercial sense working within a retail environment 
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator & Photoshop
