Who We’re Looking For 

The Manager, Consumer Credit Risk is a business analyst manager responsible for leading credit policy and strategy development for TMCC’s consumer auto business  This role includes leading a team of business analysts to drive profitable growth and process innovation through optimizing auto-decisioning strategy, establishing new capabilities to improve underwriting, and monitoring risk performance of consumer auto loans and leasesA successful candidate has consumer auto credit risk experience, demonstrated ability to lead a team of risk and analytics professionals by generating actionable and value adding insights, a is able to collaborate with partners and stakeholders across a business network to communicate change and build buy-in.  

What You’ll Be Doing  

  • Origination Risk responsibilities include management of credit decisioning scorecards for lease and loan applications, auto-decisioning policy and automation, origination asset quality monitoring, performance monitoring, and manual underwriting guidelines. 

  • Identifying opportunities and developing strategy changes to increase market competitiveness, gain profitable business, and react quickly to changing dynamics and trends 

  • Leading presentations and distilling complex analyses and insights into clear summaries, visualizations, and actionable recommendations for the Executive leadership team and Executive Committees 

  • Coaching and development of more junior analysts on the team, including hard data skills (e.g. SQL, Python), developing analytical frameworks and analysis plans, and communicating insights through effective storytelling.   

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and become a trusted partner across TMCC including Sales, Marketing, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Finance. 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree  

  • At least 3 years of analytical experience in managing consumer credit risk  

  • People leadership experience with a team of analytics professionals 

  • Track record of effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, external partners, and leadership. 

 

Added Bonus If You Have 

  • Auto Finance experience  

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience 

  • Advanced statistical knowledge 

  • Experience leading development, use, or monitoring of statistical models
