Health & Exercise Sciences – Lecturer (1 Year)
The School of Health & Exercise Sciences at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus, invites applications for a 1-year full-time lecturer position in Health & Exercise Sciences with an expected start date of August 1, 2025.
We seek applicants with university teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful applicant must have a PhD in Health and Exercise Sciences (or related discipline) and at least 2 years experience teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level in the fields of exercise psychology, theories of behavior change, community programming, and introductory and advanced statistics. The candidate should have a proven record of teaching effectiveness across diverse course offerings at the university level. The successful candidate will be expected to teach existing courses within the undergraduate programs, and provide service to the University and the community. The successful candidate will embrace and champion school values on equity, diversity, and inclusion in their teaching and learning environments.

The School of Health and Exercise Sciences was launched in July 2011 and currently has 21 full-time faculty members, over 800 undergraduate students, and approximately 60 graduate students. The School offers an undergraduate degree in health and exercise sciences with three concentration options: kinesiology and allied health, clinical exercise physiology, and health behaviour change and kinesiology. In addition, the School offers research-based Masters and PhD programs.
