Varo is seeking an eager and driven Product Manager to join our team. This role will focus on growing and optimizing the acquisition, onboarding, and activation funnel. This position will be responsible for developing high-level product strategy, understanding our top-level business metrics, and translating them into concrete problems to be solved via technology, working cross-functionally with engineering, data analytics, and design to bring these solutions to life, and collaborating across organizations with marketing, operations, risk, and other teams to deploy them successfully and drive impact.


Success in this role requires understanding the intersection of our business objectives and the needs of our customers, developing solutions that optimize both. This role will receive strong mentorship from product leaders and other PMs in the organization and the opportunity to work with and learn from seasoned banking and technology leaders across the company.


What you’ll be doing
  • Act as product domain expert at all levels of customer interactions and represent the voice of customers to internal teams
  • Create and execute product roadmaps that achieve business goals and align with overall strategy
  • Understand the technical and business needs of existing and target customers
  • Define use cases, business processes, functional architecture, and detailed product requirements documents that clearly articulate desired product functionality
  • Exhibit good judgment in balancing considerations for size of opportunity, scope of development and support costs, risks, and end-user experience
  • Provide guidance to Engineering, Design, and Data teams to deliver great products to our customers
  • Partner with Operations and Marketing teams to successfully roll out new products and enhancements, ensuring a great end-to-end customer experience
  • Exhibit good judgment in balancing considerations for size of opportunity, scope of development and support costs, risks, and end-user experience


You’ll bring the following required skills and experiences
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, preferring to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, with a proven record of delivering high quality software in different business environments
  • Ability to grow a product from a concept, to plan and drive execution of go-to-market strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with focus on hands-on execution
  • Strong and collaborative work ethic, working effectively as part of a larger project team
  • Ability to make sound business judgments and strong decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
  • Meticulous organizational skills, analytic capabilities, and attention to detail to facilitate a close relationship with software development team
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent practical experience
  • Banking or fintech experience strongly preferred


$100,000 - $150,000 a year
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Per applicable law, the salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors as well as candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the identified range.

This role is also eligible for a bonus, equity, and competitive benefits.
