Visa is seeking a passionate Software Test Automation Engineer to join a collaborative team of hands-on, passionate professionals developing innovative products. The person in this position will be responsible for testing products and features developed by cross-functional teams, developing test plans and test cases mapping to product requirements, documenting end-user scenarios, detecting and reporting UI, API, and system-wide issues, participating in triaging defects, automating test cases to assist with production release regression testing, and preparing test reports and release readiness reports for components, APIs, and product feature integrations.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with cross-functional sprint teams to qualify and prepare to release Visa products and corresponding companion applications.
Develop test plans and test cases mapping to product requirements and technical implementations.
Prepare and distribute test reports and release readiness reports for stakeholder review.
Contribute to QA support functions - UI and API Automation, triage issues, troubleshoot issues, conduct API tracing, and support production release testing.
Design and develop test suites using object-oriented methodologies.
Implement and execute test strategies on all supported platforms and languages to help improve overall quality and test code coverage.
Perform both functional and automation testing.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site).
Basic Qualifications
Associate: Minimum of 6 months of work experience and a Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases.
Hands-on experience with testing tools and frameworks.
Familiarity with IDEs such as Android Studio, XCode, or IntelliJ.
Experience with QA report management tools like Jira and Confluence.
Knowledge of production monitoring and deployment tools – Splunk, Kibana, Jenkins.
Basic knowledge in one or more scripting languages (e.g., shell, bash, Perl, Python).
Ability to automate UI and API test cases using established tools.
Strong organizational skills to plan and deliver quality products on time.
Passion for quality and automation, with a track record of helping deliver software product features or consumer devices.
Looking for a Software Test Engineer with strong coding skills using Java / Python / Typescript.
The candidate should have a coder’s mindset with skills in automation and developer collaboration.
