Are you passionate about fashion & design? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment? If so, you might be the perfect fit for the Assistant Designer position! As an Assistant Designer, you will partner with the design leadership team to execute the seasonal design development process, from concept to delivery. You will be responsible for creating and executing original, trend-appropriate designs that align with market needs and drive sales while ensuring each stage of the development process is completed on time.

 

What you'll do:

  • Researching and identifying trend directions; creating digital concept/mood boards, analyzing collections, and reviewing fabrics & design concepts

  • Supporting the design team in creating and developing seasonal apparel collections for our women's private label brands.

  • Assisting in sketching, draping, fitting, fabric sourcing, trend research, and presentation preparation.

  • Partnering with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, product development, and quality assurance to bring collections to life.

  • Collaborating with domestic and direct suppliers, both virtually and in person, to provide brand design direction and feedback.

  • Designing/developing according to line plans, sales needs, and emerging trends, ensuring timely execution of the product development calendar.

 

What you'll bring:

  • Have a strong eye for detail, a creative and imaginative approach to design, and the ability to work within a fast-paced private-label

  • Have 1-3 years of previous fashion design experience

  • Have proficiency in Adobe AI & PS; Windows PowerPoint

  • Have experience with Illustrator sketching

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a creative and imaginative approach to design, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Adobe AI & PS; Windows PowerPoint 

  • Browzwear Lotta and/or V-Stitcher experience preferred

  • Experience with Illustrator sketching

  • Experience creating tech packs, trend decks & line sheets

  • Resourceful, able to follow directions, can work autonomously

  • Team player; strong communication skills; organized

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and can change task focus as needed 

Qualifications

  • Have 1-3 years of previous fashion design experience; preferably in Women's design

  • Experience with hand-sketching, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D and/or AI design

  • Experience using PLM systems

  • Has a design portfolio and can share with us
