Our team crafts innovative and impactful design systems and creative strategies that drive business results while maintaining the integrity of our brand. We leverage creativity and design to engage customers, elevate the shopping experience, and strengthen Walmart’s position as the leader in the retail space.

As the internal creative agency for Walmart, we are deeply focused on enhancing the customer experience across all touchpoints—whether online, in-store, or through integrated campaigns. Position Overview:

As a Senior Art Director on the Home team, reporting to the Creative Director, you will lead creative concepts and the execution of home-focused campaigns and initiatives. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping visual storytelling for Walmart’s home category, contributing fresh, insight-driven ideas for photo and video shoots, as well as overseeing post-production design elements. This role blends high-level creative vision with hands-on execution, requiring you to balance innovative concepts with strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creative Leadership: Lead the ideation, design, and execution of compelling home campaigns that resonate with consumers and drive conversions. Work alongside the creative team to establish visual concepts that align with brand objectives, target audience needs, and seasonal trends.
  • Campaign Execution: Manage the production process from concept to delivery, ensuring cohesive and on-brand assets for all creative touchpoints. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select production partners (e.g., photographers, stylists) and manage casting, location selection, shot lists, and more. Oversee shoots and actively engage in post-production processes (e.g., editing, retouching, asset management) to ensure the final assets meet quality standards.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep a pulse on home design trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape to inform creative decisions and maintain relevance in the market.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all creative assets reflect Walmart's brand values and maintain a consistent look and feel across all campaigns, from visual elements to messaging.
  • Collaboration & Client Relations: Work closely with marketing, merchandising, editorial, and other internal teams to align creative work with business goals. Build relationships to ensure that creative strategies are aligned with broader business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Art Director, Senior Art Director, or similar role within the home retail industry
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of creative projects across multiple channels and platforms
  • Exceptional visual storytelling and concept development skills, with an understanding of home trends and consumer preferences
  • Strong collaborative and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Expertise in creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Google Slides, Figma, Office 365, and Slack
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a creative role, with a focus on the home category
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
