About the team:


Our Acquisition Marketing team is responsible for growing Web Summit’s audience through data-driven strategies and innovative campaigns. The team focuses on key channels like advertising, email, web content, and project management, ensuring that every touchpoint with potential attendees is impactful. Collaborating across departments, the team drives the initiatives that bring our global events to life.


As Head of Acquisition Marketing, you’ll lead this team to build a cohesive and impactful marketing strategy, leveraging multiple channels to drive growth and deliver results.


What you'll achieve at Web Summit
  • You'll develop and implement a cohesive acquisition marketing strategy that aligns email, paid online advertising, and web content to achieve business goals.
  • You’ll oversee and manage diverse teams, including online advertising, email, web content, marketing operations, and project management, ensuring alignment and integration across all functions.
  • You’ll identify opportunities to integrate campaigns across channels, maximising engagement and conversion rates.
  • You’ll implement a structured testing approach, driving rapid iteration and data-backed decision-making across channels.
  • You’ll collaborate with Brand Marketing to ensure acquisition strategies reflect Web Summit’s core narrative and messaging.
  • You’ll use analytics and insights to continuously optimise the performance of all marketing channels.
  • You’ll set clear KPIs and success metrics for campaigns, tracking performance and reporting results to leadership.
  • You’ll lead your team to adopt a growth mind

  • You are a strategic leader with deep experience in developing and executing cross-channel marketing strategies.
  • You have a proven track record of driving growth through integrated campaigns across email, paid ads, and web platforms.
  • You understand how to align multiple teams and channels to deliver a cohesive, high-impact customer journey.
  • You thrive in a test-and-learn culture, always seeking ways to optimise performance and efficiency.
  • You are data-driven, with the ability to translate analytics into actionable insights and strategies.
  • You’re an excellent communicator, capable of inspiring and guiding teams while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.

Skills and abilities we're looking for
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in acquisition or digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crafting cohesive marketing strategies across email, paid advertising, and web.
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation and advertising platforms.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience overseeing cross-channel campaigns.
  • Ability to build and manage budgets, forecast performance, and measure ROI.
  • Experience in aligning creative and operational teams to deliver unified campaign experiences.
  • A background in events or SaaS marketing is a plus.
