We are looking for a Junior Operations Engineer to join our Technical Operations team!

Your responsibilities will initially include:

  • Investigate and resolve (or recommend solution for) production issues
  • Respond to technical customer questions and perform operations on behalf of customers, as escalated by the Customer Support team
  • Perform root cause analysis for production issues/errors; recommend changes to the Product that will reduce future occurrences of errors or improve the customer experience

As you grow into the role, your responsibilities will also include:

  • Develop software to automate the operational needs of our customers
  • Be part of our Technical Operations development team and work on the development of our internal Admin application

You must have:

  • At least one year of experience in software development or significant exposure to programming at university or open source projects
  • Professional knowledge of databases and SQL
  • BSc in Computer Science or similar degree

You must be:

  • A good communicator, with the ability to express yourself clearly and effectively
  • Diligent and rigorous, able to appreciate quality and deliver it on a daily basis
  • Able to collaborate well in a team environment

Bonus points for applied experience in software development projects, Operations, Quality Assurance, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Ruby on Rails and Node.js
