About The Role

Worldly is seeking a dynamic and resourceful Supplier Engagement Director to join our team and support our initiative to expand our network of supplier customers within consumer goods supply chains in Asia. 

This individual will play a critical role in fostering relationships with suppliers, brand and retailer sustainability and sourcing teams, industry associations, and other key stakeholders. As the primary point of contact in Asia, this person will work directly with suppliers in the region, understanding their needs and challenges, and representing their voice within our company. 

Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role offers the opportunity to build and lead a team focused on supplier engagement, expanding Worldly’s presence and impact in the region.

What You'll Do

  • Supplier Network Expansion: Translate customer feedback into actionable strategies for supplier acquisition and retention. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to accelerate the growth of Worldly’s supplier network.

  • Partner Collaboration: Engage closely with relevant counterparts at Cascale to ensure alignment and close collaboration on key relevant supplier and industry association engagement activities.

  • Supplier Advisory Panel Development and Management: Lead the creation and ongoing management of one or more supplier advisory panels, ensuring that key supplier customers have a platform to provide input and feedback on their engagement with Worldly, and share their needs and value perceptions.

  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, acting as their advocate within the company and helping them derive value from their engagement with us.

  • Engage Industry Associations: In alignment with Cascale, develop strategic relationships with key industry associations in Asia that represent suppliers.

  • Market Research & Insights: Gather insights from suppliers to understand the challenges they face in sustainability measurement, reporting, and improvement and how we can address their pain points. Provide feedback to product development, marketing, and customer success teams.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure supplier feedback is integrated into product and service updates and marketing strategies. 

  • Travel & Event Representation: Represent Worldly at industry events and meetings across Asia to raise the profile of the company among suppliers and industry stakeholders.

We'd Like to See

  • Experience:  8–10 years of professional experience in the apparel or consumer goods supply chain, with a focus on supplier engagement, sustainability, or supply chain management in Asia. Proven track record of working directly with manufacturers, fostering strategic relationships, and driving impactful collaboration within regional markets.

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of supplier needs, and supply chain dynamics. 

  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across diverse cultural and organizational backgrounds.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one Asian language (Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, etc.) to effectively engage with suppliers across the region.

  • Cultural Understanding: Deep understanding of business cultures across Asia, with an ability to navigate complex business environments and organizational hierarchies.

  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate supplier needs into actionable strategies and initiatives.

  • Autonomy: Comfortable working remotely, with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel as required (up to 30-50%).

  • Understanding of sustainability issues within supply chains, including environmental, labor, and social compliance reporting.

  • Experience working with sustainability-focused platforms or technology solutions.

  • Existing relationships with manufacturing associations and suppliers in the region.

Compensation

Salary: $96,000 - $105,000 Annually (USD)

15% Annual Bonus

Incentive Stock Option Package

Work-from-home stipends

*Final compensation figures will be determined based on a wide variety of factors, including experience and location. These factors will be evaluated and considered by Worldly throughout the entirety of this process.
