Director, Technical Sales & Partner Enablement

As the Director of Technical Sales & Partner Enablement, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive technical sales effectiveness and partner success. You are experienced in technical sales, partner management, and enablement roles, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth through strategic enablement initiatives. You'll elevate our technical sales teams and partners by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to sell and support our solutions effectively. You will craft enablement programs and produce training content that significantly impacts our sales outcomes.


In this role, you will join a team dedicated to enhancing technical sales and partner engagement, reporting into the leadership team responsible for sales enablement and partner success. You will work closely with field teams, marketing, product management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and drive results.


This is a remote opportunity within the United States or Canada.


What you can expect:
  • Develop and implement enablement programs for technical sales teams and partners.
  • Design and deliver training programs on product knowledge, competitive positioning, and sales processes.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and webinars to enhance technical sales skills.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to create and deliver enablement content.
  • Develop and maintain sales collateral such as product demos, technical briefs, and case studies.
  • Implement and manage sales tools and technologies to enhance effectiveness.
  • Measure the effectiveness of enablement programs through metrics and KPIs.
  • Report on the impact of enablement initiatives to senior leadership.
  • Lead and mentor a team of enablement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


What we're looking for:
  • Extensive experience in technical sales, partner management, and enablement roles, with several years of people management experience, preferably in a SaaS/technology environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales enablement programs.
  • Strong understanding of technical sales processes and experience implementing sales methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience with sales enablement tools and technologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to lead and execute projects involving cross-discipline and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Passion for staying updated with industry trends and best practices.


USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $162,000 USD and $219,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.


Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $155,000 CAD and $209,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.


At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.


We believe in the power of remote work, but we also recognize that some in-person connection with team members and customers is important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. This may include but is not limited to bi-annual department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across Canada and the USA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.
