Co-Development Business Unit is looking for Solution Engineer

This is a one-year contract role

What will you do?

The Team aims to spearhead the digital transformation of government. The GCC (Government Commercial Cloud) platform provides a federated agency hosting and infrastructure through modern cloud architecture implementation and the modernising of Government applications through adoption of agile development practices.

The Team is seeking independent and motivated Solution Engineer who has experience in both small and big scale cloud-based projects, to support agencies and the GCC product team to create value in the GCC platform. This role will work closely with the agency users, GCC product and partnering teams, using a collaborative approach with strong technical understanding, to assist and ensure that the GCC platform continues to add value to agencies.

As a Solution Engineer, you will be required to:

• Work directly with GCC engineering team, product team and various key stakeholders.
• Support development of proof-of-concepts for GCC platform in concert with product team and various stakeholders.
• Take ownership of end-to-end solutions provided by teams across the organisation.
• Provide system troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains, expect to participate in on-call escalations to troubleshoot customer facing issues.
• Assist in the migration activities for GCC platforms.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines.
• User-centric mindset. Be able to represent users’ viewpoints on GCC in order to drive changes & innovations to meet their needs.
• 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst and/or Software Architect role
• Passion for automation, standardization and best practices.
• Solid hands-on experience in designing, building, deploying and securing of highly available web application in cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Gitlab or Azure DevOps
• Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Go
• Good understanding of network components such as load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS.
• Good understanding of DevOps principles and practices, knowledge in DevSecOps will be an added advantage.
• Self-motivated with good communication skills.
• Experience in an Agile development environment focusing on rapid, quality delivery.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and meticulousness in handling figures and processes in a high-agility environment.

Preference:

• Experience with managing cloud infrastructure and services on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, preferred.
