And the people who answer it are fulfilled.The People Policies & Practices (PPP) team creates employment policies and practices that invoke trust by establishing consistency & solidifying best practices throughout the organization. The Senior Manager of Team Member Relations will be responsible for investigating sensitive and confidential team member allegations of reported violations of ACS policies, procedures, and state and federal laws, as well as reviewing general employee relations concerns escalated to the People, Policies & Practices team. This role will regularly partner with critical support teams including Legal, People & Org Development Partners and People Team CEOs.• *This role is 100% remote and home based. The final candidate can be based anywhere in the United States**• Engages in fact-finding for Employee Relations concerns escalated to the PPP team to determine if there was a policy violation or if a formal investigation is required. If none, engages the appropriate leader or POD partner for resolution.• Conducts workplace investigations; interviews involved parties and prepares investigation summary for legal review. In partnership with legal, determines recommended outcomes related to corrective action/separation/coaching/development.• Facilitates investigation findings meetings with Leaders and POD partners to achieve consensus on outcomes.• Prepares Leaders and POD partners for the delivery of outcomes, including talking points, corrective action documents, separation guidance, and general recommendations for team member coaching, development or team intervention.• Maintains comprehensive documentation of all Employee Relations and Investigation cases in HR Acuity aligned with established data entry protocols.• Identifies trends and suggests proactive solutions to address any areas of concern and facilitate adoption of best-practice leadership engagement and behavior.• Partners with People Insights to prepare annual dashboard of Employee Relations and Investigation case data.• Primary liaison with HR Acuity vendor, including review and renewal of contracts, monitoring quality of service and content provided, recommending necessary changes, and securing needed support.FORMAL KNOWLEDGE:• Bachelors Degree in HR or related field• Advanced degree or accreditation is preferred• 10+ years experience conducting employment policy related investigations, extracting data, and preparing customized insight reports.SKILLS:• Experience working on highly confidential and complex cases.• Courage and conviction to state critical issues and through collaborative conversation, convince leaders to make necessary decisions on the Society's best interest.• Ability to build strong partnerships with staff at all levels of the organization and take a collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision making.• Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations and make sound judgements.• Expertise in HR Legal Compliance including in-depth knowledge of labor and employment law.• Advanced verbal and written communications skills; ability to communicate complex technical information in a manner easily understood by others.SPECIAL MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DEMANDS:• Ability to travel as needed by car or airplane.The starting rate is $120,000-$125,000 The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended.
