Quality Engineer – EHS Focus | Aerospace & Defense

Your Mission:


In this role, you'll act as a key driver of EHS performance, shaping a culture of safety and quality in a high-tech aerospace manufacturing environment. You'll lead efforts in program development, compliance, risk mitigation, training, and incident response—all while aligning with regulatory and corporate requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the design, implementation, and enforcement of the facility's safety and quality programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations , including OSHA standards.
  • Advise and audit line management to ensure proactive implementation of EHS initiatives .
  • Conduct employee orientation, emergency response drills, and ongoing safety training.
  • Collaborate on the ergonomic design of production equipment and processes.
  • Develop, launch, and manage a Safety Management System , tracking KPIs and corrective actions.
  • Ensure all EHS documentation, permits, and regulatory reports are up to date and audit-ready.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with company safety protocols.
  • Lead or support accident investigations , root cause analyses, and submission of required reports.
  • Recommend and track corrective and preventative actions across teams.
  • Champion a safety-first culture —motivate staff, recognize advocates, and lead by example.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with AS9100 , NADCAP , and other aerospace standards.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment (Aerospace preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA , environmental regulations, and aerospace safety standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead training programs for diverse teams.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to operate independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is a plus.
  • Must be able to navigate the facility to inspect equipment, observe work practices, and support incident investigations.
