We are seeking a seasoned UI/UX Designer  to join our dynamic team as a full time hybrid employee in our Franklin, TN office. As a UI/UX Designer you will be working closely with Product Owners, Senior Leadership and stakeholders to provide UX expertise and UI designs that communicate and achieve a shared vision. Part of your job will be developing and testing those UX concepts with real users, folding feedback into iterative improvements, implementing and understanding analytic tools as well as other product and user research tools. You’ll also collaborate closely with dev teams in the hand-off of design assets, understanding of technical limitations, creative brainstorming and problem solving together. 


Responsibilities 

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
  • Consistent collaboration with business stakeholders, end users, product owners, and developers. 
  • Prepare and present ideas to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, widgets, page navigation, etc.
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look.
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
  • Develop, implement, conduct and analyze data from experiments and analytic tools to make data driven decisions and propose new ideas
  • Maintain and adhere to style guidelines to be implemented across products for consistency.
  • Design new features within the context of an established product. 
  • Redesign existing product UI and solve challenges with problematic features within a product. 
  • Conduct usability tests with our current products, and present findings to Product Owners to prioritize suggested improvements.
  • Measure goals and improve designs using metrics (Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc).
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

  • BS/BA in User Experience/User Interface Design, Computer Science, or relevant degree. Masters degree is a plus.
  • 2+ years proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
  • Portfolio of design projects.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of and experience with design tools (i.e. Figma or similar).
  • Good working knowledge of Google Analytics and tracking user journeys
  • Familiarity with UI analysis tools such as HotJar
  • Experience with data driven decision making
  • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Experience working with remote teammates. 
  • Drive to think about the “why” behind users’ behaviors, and a push to gain understanding of users’ motivations (varying user personas).
  • Ability to think about the way information architecture, narrative elements, color, layout, type, and animations guide a user in an app; with interest in how to use that understanding to improve people’s lives, while achieving business goals.  
  • Ability and eagerness to travel to spend time with users and stakeholders, generally around 10% of the time but at some points could be up to 25% of the time.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus. 
  • Experience in the auto auction or remarketing industry is a plus.
