BILL Compliance is a highly energetic, collaborative, motivated, and effective compliance team focused on building a state of the art compliance program. We are a well-established team focused on driving compliance, delivering results, and supporting the overall company strategy. We are looking for an exceptional, highly motivated team player Compliance Program Manager to join the BILL Compliance Program team. You will report directly to the Compliance Program Director.

As BILL’s Compliance Program Manager you will work closely with our compliance, product, risk, legal, and other cross-functional teams to help develop and maintain a strong and well documented Compliance Program. As part of your role, you will be primarily responsible for BILL’s compliance program governance, including assisting with tracking regulatory updates and change management, the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures, driving program metrics and reporting, developing and executing AML & Sanctions risk assessment methodologies/analysis, assisting with the development of global training programs, and driving new products compliance requirements development and implementation. You will showcase and display a knack for enabling strong governance practices and serving as a domain expert on behalf of the BILL compliance team to key internal cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.

Compliance Program Managers assist with:

  • Monitoring regulatory updates related to BSA/AML & Sanctions compliance, conducting impact assessments, and managing the compliance newsletter
  • Developing and managing BSA/AML & Sanctions policies and procedures, maintaining an inventory, and tracking updates to ensure policies and procedures are aligned with the BSA/AML & Sanctions program
  • Researching and documenting compliance requirements (including KYC) for new countries to which BILL wishes to expand
  • Developing a thorough understanding of Bill’s products and working with the product team to track new products, assisting with documentation of risks and requirements
  • Documenting clear compliance requirements for new systems implemented by Bill, including KYC, sanctions, and transaction monitoring
  • Developing compliance dashboards and conducting quarterly BSA/AML & Sanctions operational risk assessments for senior management
  • Addressing escalations from other teams (including risk, CX, or sales) related to onboarding and other BSA/AML & Sanctions issues
  • Developing BSA/AML & Sanctions training content and training teams on various compliance topics
  • Supporting new vendor and partner relationships, including analyzing impact to BILL’s compliance program, implementing key requirements, and managing ongoing maintenance and relationships

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 8+ years of experience in BSA/AML & Sanctions, including developing and reviewing policies and procedures, conducting product risk assessments, and implementing compliance risk dashboards
  • Experience in developing, delivering, and reviewing compliance training content
  • Proven ability to work independently and thrive in a growth-oriented, dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus as needed
  • Experience working with consulting firms or conducting program assessments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain compliance requirements to cross-functional teams (including engineering, product, marketing, risk, and legal) and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across various teams to drive compliance initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing comprehensive risk assessment methodologies, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks across complex programs.
  • Experience in project management, critical thinking, and analysis, with the ability to establish oneself as a subject matter expert in payments compliance and program governance

The estimated salary  range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role.  Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

$131,000$164,300 USD

Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed below. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits. Zone 3 -Utah (includes Utah office), Houston TX, Florida, North Carolina
