The Company

Board Intelligence is a rapidly growing Software as a Service (SaaS) business, pioneering a suite of tools and services that supercharge the effectiveness of boards and leadership teams. 

In summer 2024, we received substantial backing from K1 Investment Managers – leading B2B Enterprise SaaS investors based in LA. Through both organic growth and acquisitions, our aim is to be the global leader in the board portal and board governance space. We’re at the beginning of a significant journey of acquisition and integration and expect to at least double our size in the next year. We have already acquired TeamEngine from Sweden in September 2024 and are looking for superb talent to join us on this journey.  

We’ve been helping boards to make smarter, faster decisions for over 20 years and have over 70,000 users engaged on our platform. We work with FTSE 100s, large privately owned companies, public sector and government departments, and have a great track record of growth in the last ten years.  

We’re 150 people today and growing fast. As we grow, we’re fiercely protective of our friendly, high performing culture. What's the role?

Reporting directly to the CMO, we’re looking for a Director of Growth Marketing to set-up and own our product marketing function.

The role will suit a strategic, experienced, hands-on operator who has a track record of success and who thrives in fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our Product and Commercial leadership and be a senior member of the Marketing Team. 

Responsibilities

We prefer to work with the best talent. We don’t need you to be familiar with everything on this list but experience in some or all of these areas will be useful and a willingness to dive in and learn the others, essential.

  • Own the product positioning and messaging for our markets, geographies, verticals and personas
  • Work with our Product Team to craft our product story and align product communication business-wide, and introduce in-product marketing functionality
  • Enable our Commercial teams to successfully market and sell our products and services through internal training sessions, and by equipping them with high quality sales and customer aids (incl product sheets with features & benefits, battle cards, sales scripts, competitor comparisons, pricing, FAQs). 
  • Collaborate with Product and Commercial leadership on the product marketing roadmap and leading the messaging for launches, new feature releases and enhancements for both our technology products and advisory services
  • Work with our digital leads and agencies to optimise and refine the pages’ performance and trial new tactics to drive demand
  • Working with the Product Team to introduce targeted, in-product marketing functionality and owning the out-of-product marketing focused at existing users to drive feature/product adoption, retention and growth. 
  • Listen to and representing the voice of the customer alongside out Customer Success, Support and Onboarding teams
  • Run our customer referral & advocacy programme and external review sites strategy
  • Significant experience in B2B SaaS product marketing with a track record of excellent execution and achieving targets
  • Expertise in digital marketing techniques  and cloud tools to create web pages and product collateral
  • Experienced in working with Product and Commercial teams to coordinate multi-stakeholder projects  
  • Operational pace and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for detail and ruthless focus on excellence and performance
  • Hunger and humility – an ability to design and execute strategies themselves

It would be great if you also had:

  • An understanding of working in a private equity environment
  • Experience of the board governance market and/or a desire to learn about this in great depth
  • Knowledge of Figma and HubSpot is a plus.
