If you’re looking for an internship that will help you grow professionally and personally, this could be the opportunity for you!Essential Details:• Internship Duration: Our internship program will be 9 weeks, with a start date of June 3rd, and ending July 31st.• Hybrid Work Schedule: Work remotely on Mondays and join us in the office Tuesdays - Thursdays with no work on Fridays – enjoy your 3-day weekend!• Office Location: Join us at our vibrant & amazing office, located at 1221 Brickell Ave, Miami, FL• Work Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the U.S.• Location: Must be based in Miami, FL with no relocation acceptedBoat Trader and YachtWorld are the leading online marketplaces for buying and selling boats, connecting millions of users with their next vessel. We are seeking a Front-End Design & UI/UX Intern to help improve the native mobile app experiences for both platforms. This role is ideal for a college student passionate about mobile UI/UX design, user acquisition strategies, and front-end implementation. You will focus on enhancing user acquisition, optimizing push notification strategies, and improving the overall mobile user experience.Over the summer, you'll work on projects, tackle daily tasks, and work collaboratively with our team. In general, your responsibilities will include:• Improve User Acquisition: Leverage Branch.io to optimize deep linking, referral strategies, and onboarding flows to drive app downloads and engagement.• Enhance Push Notification Logic: Work on improving push notification personalization, timing, and relevance to increase user retention.• Optimize Native Mobile UX: Improve the Boat Trader and YachtWorld app interfaces to provide a more intuitive, visually appealing, and seamless user experience.• Conduct User Testing & QA: Perform usability testing, analyze user feedback, and iterate designs to improve overall satisfaction.• Ensure Performance & Responsiveness: Collaborate with developers to optimize UI components for iOS and Android, ensuring fast and seamless performance.• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to align UX improvements with business goals.We know you're just starting your career. But here are a few things that you should have to succeed in this internship:• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, UI/UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.• Experience designing user interfaces for mobile applications.• Proficiency in HTML and CSS for front-end styling and design.• Familiarity with Branch.io or other deep-linking/user acquisition tools (preferred but not required).• Basic understanding of push notification logic and best practices for user engagement.• Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch for UI/UX design.• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications, but not required:• Familiarity with React Native, Swift, or Kotlin (a plus but not required).• Understanding of mobile analytics and user behavior tracking tools.• Knowledge of A/B testing for app feature optimization.• Awareness of accessibility and usability best practices for mobile apps.To join us on this adventure, candidates must meet the following criteria:• Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States.• Local to Miami: To guarantee a seamless and enriching experience, candidates must be based in Miami, FL.
