Job Description

We are seeking an experience Loading, Shipping, and Receiving Supervisor for the day shift at out Atwater facility. In this role you would be responsible for supervising the warehouse and shipping employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment, planning and assigning work schedules, implementing policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise workers who confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks. Also responsible for managing the inter-departmental transport of materials
  • Supervise a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes
  • Contribute to the development of processes and procedures
  • Exercise authority for personnel actions and oversee most day-to-day operations of group
  • Use your thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision
  • Ensure effective employee relations, providing employee coaching and development, and making employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas
  • Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager
  • Ensures annual certification for truck drivers based on Fleet requirements.
  • Provide leadership through a 30-day planning cycle
  • Perform accident investigations
  • Manage department priorities
  • Track absenteeism and timekeeping
  • Manage in a very fluid environment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 5 years of experience In a shipping and manufacturing environment, including managerial/supervisory experience
  • Previous quality management experience, including experience performing Continuous Improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other techniques required
  • Experience in leadership, performance management, problem solving, and planning required

*Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Pay range for this role is 95,000-105,000 a year. **Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.
