Email Specialist - Contractor

CrossFit is looking to hire a Email Strategist Contractor for six (6) months.


In this creative and data-driven role, you will be responsible for planning, creating, executing, and optimizing our email marketing and push notifications strategy to drive engagement, conversion, and customer retention. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful communications campaigns that align with our brand voice and business goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:           

      Develop and execute the overall email marketing strategy to support business objectives

      Plan, write, design, and optimize email campaigns for customer acquisition, retention, and re-engagement.

      Segment audiences and personalize campaigns to maximize engagement and conversion.

      Collaborate with design, content, and product teams to create compelling email assets.

      Monitor key metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions, unsubscribes) and A/B test subject lines, CTAs, and content to improve performance.

      Maintain email marketing calendar and ensure timely execution of campaigns.

      Ensure email content complies with best practices and legal regulations.

      Manage the email marketing platform (Braze), across both email and push notification communications

Analyze campaign performance and prepare regular reports with actionable insights.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:

      Proven track record of developing successful lifecycle and promotional email and push notification campaigns.

      Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Google Analytics and email platform dashboards.

      Experience with platforms like Braze, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar is a must.

      Experience with A/B testing, segmentation, and personalization strategies.

      Experience with email design, including Canva, InDesign, Figma, or similar.

      Knowledge of email marketing compliance and deliverability best practices.

      Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email is a plus.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

      Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

      3+ years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or CRM strategy.
