Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Engineer to join our dynamic Medicaid Technology team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong foundation in software engineering and a passion for healthcare technology, particularly in the Medicaid domain.
You will contribute to modernizing our Medicaid claims infrastructure by leveraging cloud-native technologies, automation, and intelligent processing to improve accuracy, reduce administrative costs, and enhance the experience for both providers and members.
You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable software solutions that support the end-to-end lifecycle of Medicaid claims processing including intake, validation, adjudication, and analytics. You will work with complex data structures, state-specific rules, and evolving regulatory requirements to ensure timely and accurate claims resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver high-quality software products.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and incorporate them into the development process as appropriate.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in software development engineering.
5+ years experience with C++ or C# .Net
5+ years working with software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
5+ years experience with version control systems such as Git.
5+ years of experience with SQL and RESTful APIs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Python or JavaScript.
Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)

The typical pay range for this role is:
$92,700.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
