The Software Controls Project Engineer is responsible for electrical & software design, implementation and qualification of membrane manufacturing equipment. Which includes component and vendor selection as well as contractor supervision.

This position reports to the Engineering Director and is part of the Advanced Engineering department located in Hauppauge, NY and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Analyze plant processes and implement improvements focused on Electrical Controls
  • Design electrical control panels
  • Design PLC control logic
  • Troubleshooting issues with Electrical hardware and processes

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering with 2 plus years of experience related to electrical and or controls
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, NEC and procedures within this field
  • Use PLC/HMI programming products, such as those made by Allen Bradley, Wonderware

Travel, & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 10%
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Ability to develop schematics in AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with common electrical control hardware.

The salary range for this role is $88,000 - $110,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
