IT Strategy & Performance Senior Analyst

Job Description

Working in one of our Corporate functions you’ll be supporting the business to deliver their priorities and objectives.  Whether you’re in Enterprise IT, Finance, Governance & Legal Affairs, Human Resources or Strategy & Corporate Affairs, you’ll be contributing to Helping Britain Achieve Net Zero Together. We understand our business needs and provide specialist advice and knowledge to mitigate risk and maximise success. We are exemplar and act with integrity in a challenging but rewarding environment.

We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Enterprise IT Team providing senior stakeholders with precise, concise information around business performance.  A salary range of £50,000 to £55,000 is on offer together with an excellent benefits package

Our Team

  • The role sits in the Commercial, Strategy & Performance team within Enterprise IT (EIT), which is responsible for defining EIT’s strategy, measuring EIT’s performance, executing effective governance with external stakeholders, managing EIT’s key risks, ensuring strong financial control, delivering effective vendor management and managing thousands of pieces of hardware and software across the whole of EDF.
  • The Commercial, Strategy & Performance team is a small, but perfectly formed team of experts, meaning that every individual in the team has the opportunity to influence the future plans for EIT, and the delivery of these plans.
  • The key customers of the team are the EIT Executive team, the wider EIT organisation and a wide network of stakeholders from around EDF in the UK.
  • Initially, you’ll report directly to the Head of Commercial, Strategy & Performance.

What’s my role?

  • You’ll facilitate the delivery of the EIT Performance Framework: a diverse suite of KPI dashboards, deep-dive insight and Executive Management Information that allows a deep understanding of EIT performance. This will require you to work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout Enterprise IT to drive forward our reporting capability.
  • You’ll lead the production of the EIT Performance Scorecard and supporting reporting packs, which will be used by stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to measure EIT’s progress against a broad range of objectives.
  • You’ll clearly and concisely articulate EIT performance to key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, both verbally and in writing, highlighting successes, failures, opportunities and threats.
  • You’ll drive the delivery of actions to mitigate risks and seize opportunities – driving a performance culture within EIT that leads to continuous improvement and a positive customer experience.
  • You’ll provide support to, but also constructively challenge EIT teams that are responsible for delivering solutions for our internal and external customers, to drive performance and ensure strong customer focus throughout EIT.
  • You’ll play an active role in supporting the Risk, Governance & Stakeholder Engagement Manager to ensure an effective risk management framework – and will support the delivery of performance reporting that highlights the effectiveness of the controls that are put in place to manage EIT risks.
  • As an important part of a small team, you’ll need to be an enthusiastic team-player who is willing to support the wider CS&P team-members as required. This means that you will demonstrate a clear understanding of the activities undertaken by the wider team (including risk & assurance, stakeholder and employee engagement) and a willingness to involve yourself in these activities to support the wider team.

What do I need to be great at this role?

  • The core competency of the Strategy & Performance Senior Analyst is an obsession with ensuring that EIT is the best that it can be – driving performance and supporting the identification of opportunities to deliver meaningful change.
  • To be successful in this role you’ll need to be customer-obsessed, highly organised, tenacious, committed, analytical, innovative, challenging, and creative.
  • You’ll be a self-starter, ensuring that you manage your responsibilities well and prioritise effectively. You’ll demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organisation and the ability to collaborate and forge effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • You will be numerate and analytical, with a proven track record of producing and interpreting information to generate valuable insights and support effective performance management.
  • You’ll have a track record for delivering outstanding verbal and written communication – and will feel confident with producing and delivering simple, clear and compelling communications (both written and verbal) to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • You’ll be able to think on your feet, either to be able to answer unexpected questions or to be able to react to a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Equally, you’ll be able to demonstrate an ability to think ahead and anticipate challenges and opportunities to be seized.
  • You’re committed to health, safety, wellbeing and the environment, and carry out your role in a manner that enables us to be a sustainable business – financially, environmentally and socially.

What benefits will sell this role?

  • The working location for this role is flexible. Whilst travel may occasionally be needed to deliver objectives, we’ll do our best to make sure this fits around your work/life needs.
  • The role will allow the holder to forge relationships with a diverse group of individuals within EIT and around the wider directorates of EDF in the UK.
  • We are on a mission to reinvent EIT for the future, and as an important part of an important team, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of EIT – and then make it happen!
  • As part of a small team, we are also on a mission to make working in EIT fun! This will allow you the opportunity to get your creative juices flowing for the benefit of you and the wider team.

If you need to learn new things to understand life in EIT, you’ll have access to people and training that will help with this – but also have the opportunity to give others the benefit of your experience
