About Global Business Marketing and Global Brand Studio
The vision of the Global Business Marketing Team is to create a global brand that amplifies our mission and establishes TikTok as a unique and critical investment for the industry we serve. Within the greater Global Business Marketing team, the Global Brand Studio produces business entertainment that inspires TikTok-first thinking and services the different Global Marketing teams. The studio and events team is comprised of world-class designers, production experts, and experiential events professionals, dedicated to showing our agency partners and clients how best to show up on TikTok. We have a passion for, and deep knowledge of TikTok as a platform, and are full of ideas that will help propel the platform into the future.
Overview:
The Global Brand Studio Event Production Lead will provide team leadership and oversight across some of TikTok most influential B2B event moments. The Event Production Lead will be responsible for ensuring creativity and joy are central to everything we make and put out into the industry ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with proven experience bringing live events and experiential activations to life. We're looking for someone with a strong vision for event production and execution, team motivation, and a pulse on industry event trends.
Key candidates will have deep knowledge of the B2B events landscape as a whole, and extensive knowledge of major tentpoles and industry events like CES, AdWeek, Cannes Lions, SxSW, and Newfronts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead event production development and execution for specific North America and Global business marketing teams initiatives
- In development of the event experience, apply regional strategic marketing messaging to ensure experience is on brand and meeting objectives
- Bring innovative thinking and executional expertise to each event including integrating the latest and greatest event trends and technology
- Oversee and manage all aspects of event production, including, but not limited to:
- Interface and act as main point of contact for agency partners and production vendors
- Partner with the Event Lead to build out agency brief and facilitate the RFP process with the Procurement Team
- Drive multiple projects forward simultaneously
- Manage and draft all SOW and MSA contracts with internal Legal Counsel's oversight
- Help organize and set-up projects for success from initial stages through execution
- Partner closely with Event Lead and internal Studio team to develop and recommend full event experience and execution
- Manage event space operations including event staff, technical crew and necessary production partners
- Partnering with Event Lead on budget development, management, tracking and reconciliation
- Work with TikTok's internal Environment, Health, and Safety teams to gather necessary event security plans, COIs, etc.
- Manage and mentor a team of event production managers helping to define team OKR's and performance
- Clearly articulate TikTok's brand vision internally and with third-party production vendors to create best-in-class experiences that bring joy to consumers
- Bring deep knowledge and understanding of the experiential landscape to the planning process
- Research, identify and recommend up and coming agencies
- Build relationships with experiential agencies, fabrication teams and local production vendors
Qualifications
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in an event-specific role. Agency experience preferred
- Rich experience in executing a wide variety of large-budget experiences in entertainment and tech event spaces. Large-scale activations at consumer-facing festivals, trade shows, and industry events are a must
- Proven history of collaborating across multiple disciplines to meet campaign event goals (marketing, b2b, media, creative, social, etc.)
- Ability to create decks, presentations, budgets, run-of-show documents, etc.
- Ability to communicate clearly while operating in a fast-paced environment
- Proven history leading a team

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $96666 - $188000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
