THE ROLE:
FloSports is looking for a Business Operations Analyst to play a critical role in driving the organization’s operational processes, improving efficiency and spearheading critical change projects. Based in Austin, Texas, this role will focus on analyzing, reviewing and optimizing performance and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of key business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze data, track progress and provide insights on operational processes, budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Create and maintain business reporting, dashboards and documentation for key stakeholders
Drive planning, collaboration and implementation for cross-functional projects and initiatives
Streamline operational budget analysis and accrual recognition processes
Partner with senior leadership, departments and subject-matter experts to deliver business reviews
Support finance and accounting team workflows, bridging gaps between tactical and business teams
Shepherd and strengthen the deal to delivery process across the organization
Operationalize media rights and live production team processes and needs
Identify areas with opportunities for improvement and/or automation, recommending changes for optimization, efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Help standardize operations across business departments and verticals, building and maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional teams
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, finance or a related field
3+ years of experience in business operations, analysis, finance, corporate development, strategy or a similar role
Financial acumen and understanding of budgeting principles
Experience managing projects, timelines and resources across various departments and/or stakeholders
Proficiency in data analysis tools, business intelligence tools and reporting software (Salesforce, Domo)
Deep familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting data and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a curious eye for operational optimization
Ability to work autonomously, across multiple tasks and through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
BONUS:
Ability to build, maintain and understand basic financial models
Background in live event production, planning and logistics
Proficiency in SQL
Experience in sports media, especially video streaming and OTT
