Position Title: Head of Business Development

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

Job Summary:

FreedX is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Business Development to lead our expansion efforts and drive strategic partnerships. This role will be crucial in implementing sales targets, managing the BD team, and closing key partnerships to accelerate our growth in the competitive cryptocurrency exchange market.


Key Responsibilities:

Day 1 (Launch Phase):

•Develop initial sales targets and goals for the BD team

•Create a compensation strategy to motivate and retain top BD talent

•Establish a system for tracking and managing the deal pipeline

•Identify and prioritize key potential partners for immediate outreach, including market makers, liquidity providers, and payment gateway providers

•Set up initial meetings with high-priority targets in the CIS/Turkey/Europe regions

•Begin sourcing and evaluating potential market makers to ensure sufficient liquidity at launch

•Initiate discussions with payment gateway providers to facilitate fiat on/off ramps

On-going:

•Continuously refine and optimize sales targets and compensation strategies

•Manage and grow the BD team, ensuring they meet or exceed performance goals

•Oversee the entire deal pipeline, from prospect identification to closing

•Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders

•Source, evaluate, and onboard market makers and liquidity providers to ensure optimal trading conditions

•Negotiate and manage partnerships with payment gateway providers to offer diverse fiat options

•Identify and integrate other essential 3P providers for exchange operations (e.g., KYC/AML solutions, blockchain analytics tools)

•Represent FreedX at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness

•Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth integration of new partnerships and 3P solutions

•Provide regular reports on BD performance, liquidity metrics, and market insights to leadership

•Stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities to inform BD strategies and identify new integration opportunities

Qualifications:

•Experience: Minimum of 8 years in business development, with at least 5 years in the cryptocurrency or fintech industry

•Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field. MBA is a plus
