Our successful Litigation Team in Hickory, NC is seeking a driven and smart Litigation Associate Attorney to join our firm. We want someone who can engage with clients and opposing counsel, take depositions, interview witnesses, handle motions, trials, and negotiations. Our ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following practice areas:- Construction Litigation- Employment Law- Business Litigation- Creditor's Rights- Other Civil Litigation- iduciary LitigationRequirements• Active NC bar License to practice law in North Carolina.• 5+ years of (Mid-Level) SOLID Litigation Associate Attorney• Candidates need to take it and run with it.• Represent clients in litigation matters, including trials, hearings, and mediations.• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case strategies.• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision.• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to prepare cases for trial.• Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is up to date.• Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under the law.• Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may affect ongoing cases.• Preferably, prior experience in a legal office setting.• Proficient in legal research and well-versed in using Westlaw or similar platforms.• Excellent negotiation skills for effective client advocacy.• Strong organizational abilities for managing multiple cases simultaneously.• Ability to work well in a team environment and also be self-motivated.• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and drafting legal documents.• Please include your updated resume & writing Sample when submitting tojackie.tucker@gogpac.comSalary commensurate with candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.Are you ready for a change in your legal career?
