The person in this role will define the function's vision, develop strategies to support multiple go-to-market models, and drive execution with cross-functional partners to ensure that Grammarly achieves its long-range plans.The ideal candidate will have experience partnering closely with product, growth, sales, marketing, and executive leaders, and lead a team of product marketers, to develop portfolio-level product positioning and go-to-market strategies. This leader must be an experienced, hands-on operational manager who can mentor and develop a team of people managers and individual contributors, while delivering against key business objectives. They will bring a successful track record of launching and scaling B2B products or services, and have experience with self-serve/PLG models. This person must be a flexible, cross-functional team player comfortable with bringing clarity and prioritization to a fast-paced, high-growth, often-ambiguous environment.As VP, Product Marketing, you will draw upon robust leadership experience to help empower people and businesses to improve their communication using Grammarly. You will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and be a key thought partner in shaping category, narrative, and go-to-market strategies.In this role, you will:• Influence multi-year product roadmaps by synthesizing industry, competitive, and customer insights into product inputs• Drive development of strategies (eg. positioning, pricing, packaging), in conjunction with the product, sales, and marketing teams, resulting in significant user and revenue growth• Create compelling messaging and positioning that effectively positions us as a market leader, and communicates the value and differentiation of our products to target audiences (ie. professionals, enterprise buyers, EDU, channel, etc.)• Orchestrate product launches that drive awareness and adoption of our offerings with well-defined success metrics• Partner across marketing to provide audience insights and product solutions for campaigns that drive new signups, product adoption, and expansion• Enable our customer-facing teams to help improve sales efficiency through impactful enablement programs that support all sales cycle stages• Be a cross-organization, cross-functional leader and ensure the work we produce is cohesive and thoughtfully executedQualifications• Has 10+ years of senior-level product marketing experience, with at least 5+ in B2B businesses, and ideally experience with web consumer (or consumerized B2B) products or services• Has a background in web technology or the digital communications industry• Has a passion for the fast-paced and evolving world of technology (AI-related is a plus) and how organizations can improve how they interact with their customers• Is a strong writer and storyteller and holds a high bar for team outputs• Presents a proven record of mentoring and leading diverse and distributed teams and has managed a team of 2+ reporting layers• Embodies our EAGER values-is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable• Is inspired by our MOVE principles: move fast and learn faster; obsess about creating customer value; value impact over activity; and embrace healthy disagreement rooted in trust• Is able to work in person in the San Francisco hub weeklyCompensation and BenefitsGrammarly offers all team members competitive pay along with a benefits package encompassing the following and more:• Excellent health care (including a wide range of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and fertility benefits)• Disability and life insurance options• 401(k) and RRSP matching• Paid parental leave• 20 days of paid time off per year, 12 days of paid holidays per year, two floating holidays per year, and unlimited sick days• Generous stipends (including those for caregiving, pet care, wellness, your home office, and more)• Annual professional development budget and opportunitiesGrammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
