Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to drive technical solutions for our enterprise customers. You will play a foundational role in building the sales engineering function from the ground up at Gravity, maturing our go to market organization as it rapidly scales. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic business acumen to help the most sophisticated companies in the world implement effective carbon and energy management solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive expertise in Gravity's platform, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and carbon data management best practices to serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers.

  • Collaborate with Senior Account Executives to qualify opportunities, conduct technical discovery, and architect solutions that align with customers' data environments and sustainability objectives.

  • Bridge communication between Sales, Climate Strategy, and Product teams to ensure alignment on customer needs and technical requirements.

  • Ability to lead technical presentations and product demonstrations for diverse stakeholders, from sustainability professionals to technical teams to senior executives.

  • Design and document technical solutions that address complex customer requirements while adhering to best practices in carbon accounting.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of enterprise experience working directly with customers in a pre-sales engineering capacity.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.

  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time for customer meetings and industry events.

  • Strong track record of influencing stakeholders through technical expertise and understanding of business transformation.

  • Experience with enterprise software implementations and data integration projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience with sustainability, carbon accounting, or energy management platforms.

  • Knowledge of environmental reporting frameworks and ESG standards.

  • Background in data analytics, business intelligence, or enterprise software.

  • Experience founding and successfully growing the sales engineering function at a high growth company.

  • Technical certifications relevant to sustainability or enterprise software.
