Brand Marketing Manager

Summary:

Greenhouse, the in-house creative agency at Huntington, is seeking a Brand Manager. The Brand Manager is responsible for developing and implementing brand strategies that strengthen the bank’s brand equity and market presence as well as being the strategic brand voice behind marketing-driven projects, ensuring Huntington’s brand value resonates with current and potential customers. We’re looking for a strategic thinker and creative storyteller, who can collaborate with various specialty areas to ensure a consistent and compelling brand position across the enterprise.

Greenhouse is the creative engine behind Huntington’s brand, producing everything from national advertising campaigns to local brand activations. Although this role is primarily strategic, a solid handle on the creative process and creative’s role in delivering the brand, will be key to success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep knowledge of the recently evolved Huntington brand and advocate for brand consistency across the enterprise
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, marketing, communications, and legal, to ensure compliance and alignment to overall strategy
  • Lead brand integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions and other areas of strategic brand focus
  • Track and analyze the performance of integrated brands and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Author thoughtful and detailed creative briefs and give input to the ideation of creative concepts for marketing tactics and brand campaigns
  • As an dept slide-based storyteller, lead brand presentations, articulating rationale for and advocating on behalf of creative choices, while collecting and articulating partner feedback
  • Analyze competitor strategies, identify opportunities for brand distinction and recommend action plans to improve brand consideration
  • Steward a large, multifaceted, and well-articulated brand and assist with growing and further developing the brand core messages, tone of voice and visual identity
  • Work independently and collaboratively with many creative disciplines within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 7+ years’ experience in brand strategy, marketing or creative leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with professionals of all levels
  • An understanding of emerging trends and best practices for digital and traditional marketing, brand management and brand tracking and measurement
  • Flexible work style that can accommodate changing goals and priorities
  • Effective collaboration skills and the ability to thrive through change 
  • Experience with creating, applying, and maintaining brands
  • Knowledge of project management and office software
  • Experience working within both agile and waterfall environments a plus
