Volunteer - PCH Salt Lake - School Services

Job Description:

Unpaid volunteer contributing time to PCH School Services, volunteering with the book cart and/or helping with Circle Time (in house TV show with School Services).

The School Services Department at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City needs several volunteers to assist us in our mission to provide quality services to our patients while they are hospitalized. We are looking for volunteers to perform the following jobs.

Circle Time volunteers help with preparing for the in-house tv show put on by School Services. The volunteer walks around to invite preschool patients to tune in to the show and give them a prop to use to interact with us (8:30-930am). Then the volunteer would help during filming (9:30-10:00am) and then spend the last hour helping us with various school things.

School Zone volunteers help with many things such as the library and books, handing out books and activities from the Book Cart, helping tutor patients to stay current on their school work while in the hospital, and other various projects our school zone teachers ask.

Available Schedule:

Circle Time Help: Tuesdays or Thursdays 8am-11am

School Zone Help: Mondays 1pm-4pm
Tuesdays 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm
  Wednesdays 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm
  Thursdays 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm
  Fridays 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm

**NO WEEKEND SHIFTS AVAILABLE!!!**

  • Maintain and respect professional relationships
