Job Description: 

We are looking for a backend developer to join the team responsible for building Intel Geti, software that eases laborious data upload, labeling, model training, retraining, and optimization tasks across the computer vision model development process. It allows teams to quickly build vision models for a wide range of processes, including detecting defective parts in a production line, reducing downtime on the factory floor, automating inventory management, or other automation projects.


The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills and experience working with modern backend technologies. You will work on designing, developing, and maintaining backend services, ensuring system reliability and scalability, both on-prem and on cloud.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs
  • Work with Python or Golang to build backend solutions
  • Manage and optimize server environments, ensuring stability and efficiency
  • Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve system reliability

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in backend development with strong programming skills (Python or Golang)
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments
  • Experience with deployment using Helm charts
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions for automation and CI/CD workflows
  • Good understanding of application design concepts
  • Strong communication skills (we work in English)


Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
  • Knowledge of using databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Understanding of networking and security best practices
