Demand Planning Manager

The Opportunity: 

The Demand Planning Manager will oversee demand planning for all brands, including both internally produced and co-manufactured products. This critical role will translate the sales forecast from the commercial team into detailed demand and production plans on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. The Demand Planning Manager will also ensure optimal finished goods inventory levels across the company’s internal manufacturing sites and 3PL distribution network.


As the leader of planning functions within the company’s manufacturing division, this individual will play a pivotal role in aligning production with demand, driving operational efficiency, and supporting the company’s growth objectives.


Who You Are:

You bring 4-6 years of demand planning experience in a CPG manufacturing environment, working across both horizontally and vertically integrated production sites. You have a proven track record of partnering with commercial teams to develop efficient planning systems that translate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts into actionable shipment demand and production plans. Your expertise includes managing finished goods inventory across both internal and external warehousing locations.


Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail in managing a diverse product portfolio, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic offerings. Your strong communication and relationship-building skills enable you to execute high-priority initiatives effectively while identifying opportunities to optimize inventory levels and improve profit margins.


In This Role You Will:

·    Oversee all internal and external shipment demand and production planning activities

·    Translate sales forecasts into actionable weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual shipment demand and production plans

·    Maintain the production calendar and lead weekly production scheduling meetings

·    Coordinate with internal and external manufacturing directors to ensure sales demand is met

·    Partner with the freight and logistics team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of inventory to the 3PL network

·    Provide the Supply Chain Manager with a comprehensive production demand plan

·    Achieve and maintain a planning variance of +/- 5% for shipment and production forecasting

·    Maintain and enhance S&OP (Sales and Operations) planning tools to ensure optimal performance and efficiency

·    Collaborate with the VP of Manufacturing to reduce on-hand inventory levels

·    Participate in the New Product Innovation (NPI) process to ensure new products meet available-to-ship (ATS) deadlines

·    Analyze product shipment performance data in partnership with the Director of Sales Analytics, and submit DQ forms for underperforming products

·    Work with the Supply Chain Manager to project and execute product DQ timelines at the lowest possible cost

·    Additional responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of management to meet business needs


Must Haves: 

·    4-6 years of experience in demand planning within beverage-focused CPG manufacturing

·    Proven expertise in managing demand planning for both in-house production and externally co-manufactured products

·    Strong background in inventory management, with a focus on optimizing stock levels across 3PL and internal warehousing networks

·    Proficiency in developing, maintaining, and refining demand and production planning tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency

·    Demonstrated ability to translate sales forecasts into precise and actionable shipment and production demand plans

·    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with robust data analytics skills to drive informed decision-making

·    Demonstrated understanding of CPG manufacturing processes, including expertise in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage production

·    Proven project management skills, highlighted by successful process improvements and system implementations

·    Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities, paired with a customer-focused mindset to foster strong partnerships

·    Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a history of successfully leading and coordinating cross-functional teams


Compensation: 

·   Full Time, Salaried ($110,000.00 - $120,00.00), Exempt
