Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead their HR department. With operations across numerous states, this role offers an exciting opportunity to drive organizational excellence and growth.

The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with organizational goals while fostering a positive workplace culture. This position plays a crucial role in building scalable HR infrastructure and ensuring compliance across multiple state jurisdictions.

Strategic Leadership & Infrastructure Development

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives
  • Build and optimize scalable HR systems and processes
  • Lead organizational change initiatives to support business growth
  • Partner with department leaders to develop and implement standard operating procedures

Talent Management & Culture

  • Direct recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies
  • Design and implement performance management systems
  • Develop succession planning initiatives
  • Foster a positive workplace culture focused on doing the right thing
  • Lead employee engagement and recognition programs

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Handle complex employee relations matters across all organizational levels
  • Lead and oversee personnel investigations with thoroughness and discretion
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws across multiple jurisdictions
  • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures to mitigate organizational risks

Compensation & Benefits

  • Oversee competitive compensation and benefits programs
  • Conduct market analysis to ensure pay equity
  • Manage annual salary review and bonus processes
  • Provide oversight for payroll processes and compliance

Team Leadership

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR Team
  • Support team development through coaching and mentoring
  • Build a collaborative, high-performing HR department
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) highly desired
  • Proven experience managing HR operations across multiple states
  • Strong background in employee relations and investigations
  • Experience developing and implementing standard operating procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale HR infrastructure
  • Knowledge of HR technology systems (e.g., ADP WorkForceNow)
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills
  • Competitive base salary range: $160,000 - $180,000
  • Annual bonus potential (dependent on performance and KPI attainment)
