Job Summary: Kirby Medical Center is seeking an accounting/HIM intern who will support the activities of Kirby’s Accounting and HIM Departments. The intern will provide help with projects in Accounting and Scanning Validation in HIM. The intern will work closely with the Director of Accounting and the Director of HIM.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:
Works to support Kirby Medical Center with assigned accounting projects and HIM scanning validation.
Will work in person at least two days a week.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Directors of Accounting and HIM
Requirements
Regulatory Requirements:
· Maintain working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations as they pertain to Accounting/HIM.
Educational Requirements and Skills:
· Above-average communication and organizational skills.
· A friendly & outgoing personality, the ability to work independently, and have a very strong attention to detail.
· He or she must also be able to multitask, think outside the box, think on their feet and troubleshoot problems.
· The ability to work with all personalities and be able to visualize an event not only from start to finish, but also the necessary steps in the middle Excellent and proven project planning and management skills.
· Strong leadership skills.
