The Dump Guy is seeking a Human Resource/Office Administrator, this dual role is to be based in their Scarborough, Maine office. 


Requirements of the Human Resource/ Office Administrator:
  • Two or four year college degree in business administration, human resources or related field.
  • 1-3 years of Human Resource experience
  • High organization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Payroll experience is preferred
  • Comfortable running credit cards for avid exchange
  • Experience with I9’s, workers compensation and PTO tracking ideal.
  • Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Experience interviewing, onboarding and orientation
  • Experience ordering supplies, doing inventory and helping management when needed
  • Ability to maintain confidential filing systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel experience.
  • Ability to commute to Scarborough Maine daily, Monday – Friday. (This job is NOT remote)

Responsibilities of the Human Resources/ Office Administrator:
  • Assisting with phones and customer service
  • Perform general clerical duties, including data entry, filing, organizing office records and files
  • Responsible for job postings, interviewing, onboarding new employees and assisting with training programs
  • Oversee termination process to ensure proper notification of employee and maintaining compliance
  • Partner with senior management to track employee corrective actions, by making recommendations for correction and continuous improvement
  • All aspects of employee relations
  • Partner with senior management to review, update and communicate HR policies, procedures and laws
  • Assisting with weekly payroll
  • Manage all logistical operations within the office and ensure consistency
  • Provide support to staff and management, including handling correspondence and scheduling meetings
  • Maintain filing system 


The Dump Guy started in 2004 are a Maine business, locally owned and operated. With over 60 employees and 31 trucks, The Dump Guy offers a variety of services from junk removal to demolition and heavy hauling.  Based in Scarborough, Maine they service Southern, Central Maine and Eastern New Hampshire.
