Scrum Master

The YouVersion Scrum Master is primarily responsible for leading cross-team project management initiatives and developing solutions to progress software development efforts (SCRUM). This includes outlining the project tasks, milestone dates, status, and allocation of resources to stakeholders and other necessary parties. The Scrum Master is also responsible for clearly defining and quantifying each step and establishing concrete deadlines for each project milestone and deliverable. This role handles all the complex aspects of the project, which may include very technical projects.YouVersion was created by the local church in 2007 and remains a ministry of Life.Church today. We hope everyone in our community is on an active journey to become who God made them to be, abiding in Him, and drawing closer every day.What You'll Do• Actively develop and improve project plans and processes based on team needs and technology changes.• Plan and coordinate cross-team project and sprint schedules, goals, and milestones and make project assignments.• Provide regular communication on progress and project milestones to key stakeholders and leadership.• Adhere to budgets and keep projects on track for successful completion within specification.• Develop Jira automation and dashboards to represent the data to a variety of audiences.• Provide mentorship and guidance to other project managers.• Assist with resource management and capacity planning forecasts.• Collaborate with Engineering Managers to improve engineering processes for scalability and efficiency.Skills Needed to Succeed• Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation.• Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster relationships.• Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects.• Strong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding others.• Bachelor’s Degree + Advanced Certification.• 5+ years experience in technical project management using principles of scrum and agile development.• PMP or CSM equivalent certification preferred.Benefits We Offer• Paid parental leave, including maternity, paternity, and adoption leave.• Generous employer-paid leave for the use of vacation, sick time, and other qualifying reasons.• Innovative and comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance that provides team members with useful resources and savings to navigate their holistic health.• Life insurance policy provided for all staff members at 2x annual salary at no cost.
