VP Product

🍊Our mission

All new medicines need to undergo clinical trials to show they’re safe and effective. But today’s clinical trial infrastructure is stuck in the past, and the cost of developing new medicines has skyrocketed as a result. Patients have to wait longer and pay more for new treatments.

Our mission is to fix this; we use software to help innovative companies run faster, more reliable, and patient-friendly clinical trials. We’re still a young company, but we’ve already had a big impact. Since founding the company in March 2021 we’ve helped run over 80 clinical trials involving tens of thousands of patients, with a customer NPS of 100.

We recently raised a $18m Series A round from some great investors including Creandum, Peter Thiel and Firstminute to power the next stage of our growth.

🍊About the role

We're looking for a VP Product to build the platform powering the next generation of clinical trials.

Ideally, this is a hybrid role based in our London headquarters but we will consider candidates from anywhere. A relocation package and visa sponsorship is an option if you are not currently in the London area. The whole Product organisation is currently based in the Greater London area with a strong office culture. To effectively manage your team you’ll be expected to have some office presence.

🍊About you

We’d like to hear from you if…

  • You have worked in product-adjacent roles (product management, engineering, UX, solutions) at startups or scale-ups growing beyond Series A, some of it in a product leadership position. We care most of all about finding the right person to lead our Product function - whether you’ve spent 5 or 20 years in leadership, we want to hear from you!

  • Ideally you have prior exposure to clinical trials - in any case, you absorb domain knowledge quickly and understand how to harness other people’s expertise

  • You are an excellent communicator and motivator who can engage stakeholders across the business and rally them behind your plans

  • You have managed a product team of 4+ and are comfortable engaging product designers as well

  • You have developed a strong intuition for good UX through hands-on product management on user-facing products

  • You have an unbounded curiosity about the future of human health and the role clinical trials play in it

You belong here! If your experience and interests match with some of the above, we want you to apply.

🍊What you’ll focus on

  • Take charge of our Product function and guide it through growth from Series B to Series C and beyond - you will be part of the exec team and report directly to the CTO/co-founder

  • Take ownership of the product roadmap for Citrus, our end-to-end trial delivery platform, balancing the needs of different stakeholders, user archetypes (such as patients, clinical staff, customers) and regulatory frameworks

  • Drive the product strategy together with the CTO/co-founder and other senior stakeholders

  • Shape product discovery and product development processes, engaging stakeholders across the company in the most effective way, especially Clinical Operations who are a key user of Citrus

  • Manage individual contributors in the Product function and support their career development (currently 1 Product Manager and 3 Product Designers - your number of direct reports is expected to roughly double within a year)

  • Oversee organisational design and recruiting for the growing Product function

🍊What we offer

  • Make an impact across all areas of our business and fix one of the world’s most broken industries

  • Competitive salary, plus meaningful stock options

  • Flexible working; we have an incredible office near London Bridge and encourage people to work 3 days per week from the office.

  • Unlimited holidays; everyone is encouraged to take off at least 28 days each year

  • Health & wellbeing - cashback scheme with Medicash (unlimited virtual GP appointments, medical, dental, optician, physio, mental health + more!)

  • Gympass membership; flexible access to gyms, studios, classes and wellness apps

  • Enhanced Parental Leave - 12 weeks full pay for primary care giver & 4 weeks full pay for secondary care giver

  • Cycle to work scheme

  • Regular team events; recently we've been to Legoland, a Bake Off competition, and a Millwall FC home game (decided by popular vote)

  • Up to £1,000 per year towards courses, certifications and development

  • A new laptop as your main workstation
