Director, Business Development

Model N is searching for a Director of Business Development to join our Sales team. We have an existing Business Development (Lead Generation) team and are looking for a leader to energize, coach, and develop its members. This is a great opportunity to take the lead with a team that has significant business impact within Model N.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead our team of business development representatives who support our net new and customer base sales teams
  • Ensure consistent creation of high quality sales opportunities within our target accounts
  • Drive the team to meet and exceed targets for pipeline creation and bookings
  • Partner with our sales leadership and RSMs to drive the ongoing strategy and alignment
  • Support our core verticals: High Tech and Life Sciences
  • Inbound and Outbound responsibilities
  • Build reports and dashboards in Salesforce to monitor and measure performance
  • Partner closely with demand generation (Marketing) to drive registration for webinars and events, and with product marketing to remain on-point with messaging and product releases
  • Create, roll out and ensure utilization of emails and call cadences
  • Establish and enforce processes to drive the most efficient use of time
  • Establish and track SLAs to ensure no lead is left behind


Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years experience in business development in an enterprise B2B SaaS company
  • 3+ years management experience
  • Proven success managing BDR teams that over-achieve on pipeline contribution
  • Expert Salesforce.com user
  • Experience with Enterprise Selling and Account-Based Marketing
  • Experience with modern tools & data such as Outreach and Marketo
  • Experience in life sciences and high tech a plus
  • Experience in revenue management, channel data management, or pricing/quoting software a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree


At Model N we offer fair, equitable and competitive salary ranges for all positions. Compensation varies depending on factors that may include a candidate’s relevant experience, education and/or certifications, location, training, and other skills. Positions are eligible to participate in either our employee bonus program or commission payments, depending on the nature of the role. The base salary for this position will be $140,200 - $210,000.  If your salary expectations are outside of this range, feel free to apply and discuss your expectations with our recruiters.  We are constantly opening up new positions and you might match another opening at a different level.
