Part-Time Freelance Social Media Coordinator - Nursing

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for executing the Mount Sinai Health System’s social media strategy for nursing, working across key social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. The successful candidate will work closely with key members of the Social Media Department to learn about social media in health care and nursing. This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence.PART-TIME, FREELANCE POSITION: September to December 202415 hours per week/ $20 per hourRoles and Responsibilities1. Create and manage content for all nursing initiatives2. Work with Mount Sinai Health System’s Chief Nursing Executive, the Executive Nursing Cabinet, and nurses to obtain and promote nursing initiatives on social media platforms3. Work with the Social Media Department on graphic design and video content4. Identify and follow health industry trends that can be tied into promotion of key Mount Sinai nursing initiatives5. Manage and actively follow social media and other digital marketing methods6. Integrate new ideas and methods into the company's approaches7. Participate in the development of strategies designed to meet company goals8. Stay abreast of and report on trends and best practices9. Measure the impact of social media marketing efforts, developing reports and implementing strategies and tactics for improving results10. Provide on-site social media live nursing event coverage across the Mount Sinai Health SystemEducation Requirements1. Bachelor’s DegreeExperience Requirements1. 2+ years working in social media marketing, preferably in a health care setting2. In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest3. In-depth working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere, and Final Cut4.
