Duties • Provide necessary leadership to all Strategic Partnership efforts. • Share knowledge, experience, and expertise by participating in the Agency-wide Technology Transfer and other significant teams on selected issues... • Mentor students and new employees in office practices, Center priorities, the content/goals of the Center's Strategic Partnership office and the agency. • Conduct supervisory responsibilities in an effective and timely manner in accordance with Center/Enterprise, NASA, and Government-wide policies. • Perform office supervisory administrative tasks such as approving timecards, helping with personnel issues, and coordinating action responses. • Recognize challenges, barriers, or opportunities relevant to the conduct/outcomes of the Strategic Partnerships Development effort at the Center. • Collaborate with the organization senior management team and develops assessments and proposes novel, effective, and actionable solutions to communicate and implement across all Ames organizations (PARTS) and appropriate external stakeholders. • Provide guidance and input on the implementation of a Strategic Partnership Office Internal Communication plan, that will help to maximize the synergy and leverage resources for all 3 areas of the division. • Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees. • Foster a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence and innovation. Requirements Conditions of Employment • Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement. • A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required. Qualifications Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. GS-15: To qualify at the GS-15 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: • Leading and managing NASA partnerships and agreements development and teams; including utilizing expert knowledge of NASA's partnership processes, regulations, and strategy; • Leading and managing projects and/or teams related to Technology Transfer and the Small Business Innovation and Research programs, including coordinating, and collaborating with the Space Technology Mission Directorate; • Leading and managing NASA partnership formulation and development efforts, including collaborating, and coordinating with external private and public entities. Candidates eligible for ICTAP/CTAP, reemployment priority or priority consideration will be referred before other candidates, as necessary. If no such candidates apply or are eligible to be referred, the following candidates will be sent to the hiring official for employment consideration: • Best Qualified merit promotion candidates.
