As the VP of Product Management for Nielsen's Planning applications, you will drive the strategic vision, development and execution of Nielsen’s next generation of planning Applications. This is a critical leadership role that will shape the future of Nielsen’s planning applications, driving innovation and ensuring our product offerings meet the evolving needs of the industry.







Responsibilities:
  • Define and lead the strategic vision for Nielsen Planning applications, aligning with company goals and market needs.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product life cycle, from concept and development to launch and iteration.
  • Prioritization of the product roadmap, including a clear understanding of requirements, resources, execution timelines and P&L impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, sales and marketing) to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape to inform product strategy.
  • Drive innovation in planning and ads measurement products, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Lead stakeholder communication, including presenting product strategies and updates to executive leadership and key customers.
  • Ensure products are launched on time and within budget, while meeting high-quality standards.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of the Nielsen Planning applications.
  • Ensure efficient and effective product development processes, including agile methodologies and best practices.


Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience of technical product management with deep technical knowledge of the advertising stack and direct experience building linear, digital, cross-platform planning & measurement, DSP, SSP or ad server products.
  • Experience with TV planners, cross-media planners and measurement solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-channel measurement and planning systems across TV, CTV/OTT, and digital platforms.
  • Experience building 0-to-1 products, leading client discovery, executing test and learn research and adjusting product build direction due to changes in priorities and new information.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving product innovation and managing complex portfolios.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $100,000-$300,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location.  The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs
